Yaay I followed your instructions and painted my best blend /gradient yet! I'm an amateur so it's very exciting. I didn't have a mop head brush so I used an old make up brush. A blush brush I believe. Once I'm able to spend the money on a proper blending brush i will. But Thanks!!

Might be a silly question but do you use the same mop blending brush and have to clean it between each use and change of colour

Wow thx! I like how you rub each brush on your arm before you use it. I'm guessing it's either to get rid of loose bristles or just a cute habit. Or maybe it feels good lol.

Thanks, this was really helpful. Can i get away with not having a mop style blending brush for smaller canvases. Not tiny canvases but smaller. Can I just use smaller versions of the brushes you used here?

Although this obviously works, it's a lot of work and very time consuming. A better way is to use a material used for faux finishes called "glazing." It will allow you to do what you see in this video with 10% of the effort, in 80% less time. Even better, there's no "right" amount to add to your paint. How much glazing you add controls the overall effect. So you start with a little and if you need more, you just add more. Once you've done it a few times, you get a feel for how much you want on the first shot. :)
